Our Therapy Principles

Person-centred

Your values, goals, and hopes are central to our therapeutic work together and will underpin the treatment process. You can rest assured your therapy will be tailored to your needs and circumstances – we do not apply a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Evidence-informed

Our work together will be underpinned by psychological theories, intervention techniques, and therapies with a robust rationale and sound evidence-base.

Trauma-informed

We understand trauma impacts how a person thinks, feels, behaves, and functions in the world. We are committed to providing you with a therapeutic service underpinned by principles of safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and empowerment.

Inclusion and unconditional acceptance

As a human, you have worth and value. You will be treated with respect, compassion, and acceptance by our service. We take pride in welcoming all clients and providing a non-judgemental and stigma-free service.

Mental health recovery

We believe everyone can improve their mental health and the most important assessment of progress comes from you. We will work with you to define what recovery means for YOU and tailor treatment accordingly.
